Frankie is a handmade small papier mache dish.
He is made in an unusual shallow tear drop shape, with a scalloped edge and body.
He is an early piece Traditional used to hold a candle snuffer
Inside the dish is detailed handwork of swaging and swirls throughout the bowl
He is finished in traditional black lacquer.
Frankie has some general wear to the lacquer, overall in good condition with some crazing to his reverse.
He is English Regency dating Georgian 1810
Makers is Jennens & Bettridge or Dyson & Benson of Clerkenwell.
