The Director Shelby - Interesting Military Optical Dial Sight

The Director Shelby is an antique WW1 A WW1 British No.7 MK 11 Optical dial sight for use on 13 pd field guns.

For both indirect periscope sighting and for direct line of sight.  

She is a fine example of appreciating fine decorative engineering from tragedy.

Shelby is made by Ross of London who specialised in optical devices such as telescopes and microscopes.

Shelby dates 1915

Weight 2.5kg so would be useful as a doorstop or paperweight
