The Mixologist Verity - Large Oval Leather Covered Traveling Inkwell

The Mixologist Verity is a marvellous large Victorian oval leather and brass traveling inkwell.

She is larger than average size, brown leather covered and has the word Ink stamped on its lid. 

She is spring-loaded with a thumb release button. She contains the original glass well which is covered with a hinged lid that springs open and has a leather plug to avoid leakage. removable glass insert for the ink is also removable for easy clean and refill. 

Scroll decorations on the brass surface are hand chiseled and hammered out.

The leather and brass patina throughout along with some ink stains adds to her appealing look used antique look.

Her lid is a little wobbly at the hinge, this is due to many years of travel and use.

Very tactile and stylish. Verity is totally usable lovely piece for creatives artist and writers

These inkwells are considered collectibles today, reflecting a period before the widespread use of self-contained writing instruments like fountain pens and ballpoint pens.
