Smith is a superb antique brass puzzle snuffbox.

This beautiful Dutch snuff box in a coffin style that is very collectible 

Heart design and pin hole patterns to his lid.

Antique brass puzzle snuff box. A very tactile and heavy piece

In good antique condition with  obviously wear as he has been used a lot, shuts well, a few marks to his body

He dates late 1790 to 1800

Nice find indeed, rare collectors piece, 

Keep your rings or precious small safe and secure 

To Open, tap the side of the box against your finger to slightly release the steel blade shape section. use your nail to grip and rotate it down clockwise 90 degrees. Use your nail to push the lid towards the blade and then pivot the lid anti clockwise to open.

Enjoy watching your friend go crazy trying to open it.
