The Mixologist Mo - Vintage North African Tooled Leather Box

The Mixologist Mo is a hand tooled dark brown leather box from North Africa 

A superb beautiful box workmanship. The leather is tooled and dyed to create a functional work of art.

A wooden box is covered with finely tooled leather in the Tahatint style, a technique used by the Tuareg people.

Hinge lid with no metal work. 

The Tuareg people are a large Berber ethnic group that principally inhabit the Sahara.

Mo's designs contain symbols of their culture and possibly some letters from their  alphabet. These are distinguished by their geometric shapes and symmetrical, reflecting the Tuareg's affinity for balance and order. These motifs are not just decorative but are also believed to carry protective properties.Symbolic work like this is believed to bring good luck.

Mo has some wear to his body  throughout, lovely age and patina to him
