The Mixologist Devin is a wonderful vintage oriental box.

Large Vintage wooden hand painted Japanese box.

Devin is expertly hand crafted, exterior finely painted on all sides with classic chinoiserie style landscape and figure scenes, in gilt also including finely detailed fans, flowers and leaves on a deep red lacquer base.

His lid has raised 3D decorative effect

Red lacquer keep sake box has brass quadrant hinges, for a smooth opening and closure

Internals is in a mint green. The kanji 大吉 (Daikichi) is stamped on the internal lid..It signifies "Great Luck" or "Excellent Fortune"

He has a brass lock with no key.

Devin has excessive of wear to his surface, with his original surface finish is worn at parts from age use and age. Charming antique condition. 

This is a collectable and striking item decorative and functional
