Made by Moorcroft Macintyre he is an Art Nouveau pattern.
He is an impressive round twin handle lidded pot in blue enamel and gilding.
Dane is a hand painted container is an early example of the works from William Moorcroft
The first pieces of fine art pottery from Moorcroft were designed by William Moorcroft and launched into the world in 1897 whilst employed at James Macintyre & Co. William Moorcroft created designs for the Macintyre’s Aurelian Ware range of high Victorian pottery, which was developed the art nouveau-influenced Florian Ware which was decorated entirely by hand.
Base marks: Macintyre Burslem England.
He is in lovely condition with no cracks or chips
