The Headhunter Gene - Antique Large Silver Plate Ladle

Gene is an antique ladle spoon 

long swan neck handle and wide oval scalloped bowl

He is in grade A1 silver plate 

Stylish rare and practical example with 10 perforated holes. This is in the collection as it is a less common design that would have been used for serving steamed vegetables.

Base is marked '

1847 ROGERS BROS A1 Made by Rogers Brothers who are and American brand know for excellent craftsmanship in utensils
Designed in the 'Portland' pattern, which is classic with a nicely brushed finish.

Gene has some mild wear and scratches to his surface but otherwise is in great condition for his age. 

Great for kitchen or dinning. Versatile size that can be used to serve fruit salads, vegetables

Swan neck is not cover curve design so should fit easy in you kitchen drawer
