The Duchess Duncan - Rare Silver Plate Lemon Squeezer

Duncan is a stunning and uniquely designed antique lemon squeezer and strainer 

He is heavy set in silver plate finish

His size perfect for lemons and limes 

His very clever engineering  is easy use, his handles open to allow the halved fruit to be placed face down over the strainer. Closing the handles pushes a curved fork around each side which interlock together and squeezes out the juice, while the strainer keeps any seeds and pulp from entering the container.

No makers marks found on him

Duncan design dates late Victorian

Duncan has lots of wear to his silver plating towards her neck of the handles however she is in fair condition for his age and is fully useable and certainly a prize find.
