The Director Tim - Antique Wooden English Treen Mortar and Pestle

The Director Tim is a delightful antique 

He is an English treen mortar and pestle hand turned and carved from oak wood with the rich and warm patina that only comes with age and use. 

Beautifully carved by hand from a single piece of yew wood.

The patina of treen is not always easy to put across digitally and this is truly one where you have to see and feel it to understand and appreciate its quality.

Tim has a very nice colour and has acquired a soft and silky patina over the years.

He has a few aged dents and scratches all over event from a seriously hard mashing life. Otherwise he is in good sturdy condition for its age and free from wood worm.
