The Director Smith is an antique silver-plated, biscuit/muffin warmer
A stunning piece of English craftsmanship and engineering with smooth folding out and close mechanism. He opens out into two halves and is held shut by gorgeous laurel wreath loose ring handles at the top
His main purpose back in the day, was for storing cookies and crackers, then carried and placed next to the fire to be warmed up.
Full silver plate, his bulbous body is in a clam shell shape, frame and feet and carry handle in detailed wooden / bamboo effect.
