The Director Johna - Antique Apothecary Packet Former

The Director Johna is a delightful early Victorian primitive apothecary packet former.

He is an English treen two piece tool hand turned and carved from oak wood with the rich and warm patina that only comes with age and use. Originally used for packaging drugs.

Place the thin paper or cloth over the hole use the club style tool to push the paper/cloth into the hole and mould in to shape. Add your contents to the moulded shape and tie securely with yarn or ribbon. 

The patina of treen is not always easy to put across digitally and this is truly one where you have to see and feel it to understand and appreciate its tactile quality.

Johna has a very nice colour and has acquired a soft and silky patina over the years.

He has a few aged chips and scratches all over event from a seriously hard working life. Otherwise he is in good sturdy condition for its age and free from wood worm.

Great for sweets/candy party bags, lavender pouches, tea making, Wedding favours. Be creative with your end use.
