Holly is an early Victorian, traditional silver-plated wine funnel

Designed to filter sediment from fine wine, by decanting a bottle directing the flow against the side of the decanter.

She is a stunning piece in fine quality Silver Plate 

She is a 2 piece wine funnel with strainer and spout

Holly dates 1842-1864

She has lots of scratches and ware on her, with small dents to her funnel spout. She has silver patina throughout due to age and many years of use. Her imperfections do not interfere with her use. 

She is a fine piece of craftsmanship functional to use and gorgeous enough to show off
