The Director Angela is a pair antique oriental paper mache lacquer shelves

Chinoiserie decorative black lacquer shelves, with gold hand painted scenes, expertly hand crafted, exterior finely gilt painted on all sides with classic Chinese chinoiserie style landscape figure scenes, in gilt also including finely detailed flowers, and motifs on four sides.

These shelves with middle support panel,  were designed to fold flat and hang on walls Back and top plain black lacquer. Metal hinges, hooks and loops are all in good shape. The central panel (which is decorated both sides) sides doen into the straight metal hooks

Angela is in good charming antique condition, with some mild general ware, the scenic decoration appears to be in good order, with the scalloped edges showing some wear to the gilding.

Angela is a highly collectable, striking item decorative and functional
