Jose is a silver plate teapot / kettle with square body and removable lid.
Very unusual to see this shape in silver plate, this form is usually associated wit h copper kettles.
Jose has been well used with internal patina.
The base of his spout has perforated holes too keep large tea leaves inside.
His body show signs of ware to his plating which is in good condition for his age.
The maker is unknown as I can not read his marking at the base. if anyone reading this can identify the making in the last image, then please feel free to share.
Based on this style, Jose would have had a sprit burner stand and can be dated 1880c
Jose is a truly wonderful shape teapot.
