The Mixologist Kieran is an antique lacquer Japanese export box
Rectangle shape with a hinged lid.
Kieran is expertly hand crafted, has lift out tray compliment.
His exterior is finely painted on all sides with classic chinoiserie style in gilt also including finely detailed flowers, birds and leaves on a black lacquer base.
His inside is also finished in the traditional black lacquer.
He was made for export to Britain when Chinoiserie was all the rage in the 19th century.
He has a brass lock and diamond shape inlayed escutcheon, no original key.
Kieran has general age and wear to his surface, with his original finish very well worn, with scratches and chips along his edges on box and tray from age use. His top lid has been sun damage with shine of the lacquer worn away
