Harper is an antique vanity jar /containers.
The glass is heavy with a star spray cut design at the base.
His lid is in sterling silver and detailed with an engraved laurel cartouche with monogram MV (think it’s MV)
His maker is E.S.B E S Barnsley & Co (Edward Souter Barnsley)
Harper is Birmingham Hallmarked dated 1916
Some mild scratches to her glass and one corner just below the lid is a small chip, which has been filled, so not sharp. Otherwise he is in very good condition.
Today these containers can be used for everything, use them daily at home at work and in every room; toothbrush holder, vanilla pod container, pills and tablets box, for spices, tea leaves, fish food jars, as a pencil holder, to name a few.
