The Director Lou - Antique French Ornamental Base Plinth

Lou is an antique French decorative wooden display plinth with ornamental arbor, She has a wire frame, floral and leaf presses metal decoration. 

She has evidence of old gold gilding 

Her wooden base has a green fabric top with twisted wire edging 

On the base sits a metal figurine of a kangaroo and emu and a central leaf / lily pad

This rare and quirky beauty would have originally been used to display treasured objet d'arts. This base would have possibly had an oval glass dome 

She sits flat and would have has on four tapered or bun feet.

French, circa 1890.

She is a truly rare if not unique piece awaiting a creative home and new use
