He is a super charming handmade piece in quality coromandel wood. The sides slide open to extend and hold more books.
He has a fold down engraved brass applied decoration in swirls and leaves, and both side decorated with an oval porcelain plaque Sevres style plaques depicting outside scenes of a man and a woman
A great piece for keeping files and books tidy which expands out to 64cm wide.
His has retailers brass label, is on the top centre and reads T A Simpson & Co 150 Regent Street.
He has some mild scratches and marks through due to age and use.
Dom has has his metal rods removed from his base, this then means on of the sides can slide out completely. Still in good functional condition.
