Hannah is an antique French coffee grinder. A lovely example of an authentic, original coffee grinder.
She is a larger than average piece, made of wood with a metal top and includes the original maker's stamp. The grinding mechanism is made out of cast iron and steel.
Made of beech wood and she has a small oval brass plate in the front that reads "Peugeot Frères - Valentigney, Doubs". there is slight damage to the corner of the metal plate. It also has the logo engraved on the top metal part. This particular model called Model R or Ordinary Model was the first coffee mill produced by Peugeot during the 1840 to 1936 period.
Hannah is in exceptional working order, having been lovingly cared for. The internal workings are clean and ready to use. In excellent condition for its age.
Made by the famous Peugeot Freres. The Peugeot brothers produced these at their Valentigney workshop years before they began car production.
